While products are important, communicating their intent is just as important, and I take great care to display value and functionality in an aesthetically pleasing way by creating beautiful layouts. It is a culmination of my passions for both 3D and 2D design.

Counterweight Monitor

This computer monitor was designed speculatively for the Red Dot competition to address the need for a monitor that adjusts to a long workday.

The other primary concern was simplifying the menu interactions so that users could reduce eye fatigue.

Solar Stove

This solar stove was designed while I worked with the Subsistence Marketplaces NGO which works to improve quality of life for the poor in India.

In India a majority of villagers still cook over wood inside the home. This has resulted in immense health issues, pollution, and deforestation.

This stove was an attempt to find a novel way for people in remote areas to cook cleanly.

The team and I travelled to India for hands-on product testing.

Litter Box

This litter box was created for the IHA annual submission.

It seeks to prevent litter scatter, remove waste smell, and improve the overall aesthetic of the box, thereby improving the overall relationship between owner and pet.

This project was enjoyable because I was able to combine my love of science and design by incorporating plants that filtered the chemicals that give cat waste a bad smell.
